"Hoping for better things"

Well, the original use of the motto was something of a joke... Hay Hill FC had played two whole seasons of football without a win, and so it seemed amusingly appropriate.

Even though it is entirely accidental, I now think the motto is very suitable and meaningful for Hay Hill Cricket Club and for life in general. The club's motto is a positive message and encourages us to aim to improve.
